Hi, I’m Tim Gebhardt—Founder of Droptine Talent Solutions.
I grew up chasing whitetails long before I ever knew phrases like “recruitment strategy” or “R3.” For me, hunting has always been more than a hobby—it’s a tradition, a rite of passage, and a way of staying rooted in something real.
As I built my career in education and workforce development, I saw something clearly: the hunting industry, like many others, was facing a people problem. Companies were struggling to find the right candidates. State agencies were grappling with declining participation. And the next generation of hunters? They were interested—but too often lost in the noise.
That’s where Droptine Talent Solutions was born.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Whether I'm working with a growing hunting brand or a state R3 coordinator, I focus on people-first strategies that are both data-informed and heart-led.
Because at the end of the day, hunting is sustained not just by policies or products—but by people who show up, get involved, and carry it forward.
As a doctoral candidate at Johns Hopkins University, I study how innovative learning experiences can be used to educate and empower new hunters, especially those from underrepresented communities. My research explores what works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to passing on the tradition in a modern world.
I bring this insight into everything I do at Droptine: from consulting with agencies to advising on social content and educational campaigns that actually move the needle.
